Even a low dividend for an easy placepot can be OK
In the placepot-betting, even a low dividend for an easy, but the probable combination can be OK. Tonight in Kempton Park the ColossusBets placepot looks good. Two races with potential for upsets, one good banker and quite easy races elsewhere.
In the first race, we don’t have strong opinions. Therefore, we’ll split our bets along with the market percentages. 4 Alya’s Gold Award and 6 Nary of Modena have modest ca. 65 Aurens, which might be good enough for a place in a weak field, but the debutant 5 Flaming Dawn doesn’t need to be a star to win this.
The second leg might be a tighter affair than the market suggests. However, 5 Almodovar del Rio will be in slightly overweight in our position. He has the best Auren in this race, where the race scenario is a bit unclear, and we’ll circulate more horses in some of our ColossusBets syndicates.
The third race should be a very suitable task for 1 Parlando. If he is normal in this re-appearance from a 4 month lay-off, he will place.
In the 4th leg of the ColossusBets placepot, 3 Arenas del Tiempo has started to settle better than earlier this season. She could dictate this from the lead. 4 Global Acclaim and 1 Amber Island will follow our selection in the race as they do in betting. By having a few tickets with those two the race is locked, but the overweight should be on 3 Arenas del Tiempo.
In the 5th race, we disagree against the market. 5 Eyes has worse Auren-ratings
than 2 Exuding, and she will race from behind. So we’ll oppose Eyes and have Exudings as the only circulating cover for the overweighted 1 Khatwah.
The favorites in the decisive leg are not to be trusted. They have almost as low Auren-numbers as the next other ”contenders” in this bad race. With no front-runners, the pace will be slow, and the favorites are not helped by this. We’ll try to get our share of the lost money to the favorites by covering wide.
