Too bad to be true
NFL has been one of the most profitable markets on My Way in Sports Betting. I have kept constant good profit margins since 1985. The best achievement in my whole career was winning the Spreadex Super Contest, a £14.000 NFL betting tournament in 2015. I hit 67% of my 85 picks right, even if the rules require us, hundreds of competitors to select exactly five marches each NFL regular season week.
The secret of my success over the five decades has been the strength and ability to go against the masses and ignore the public opinion. The teams are rarely as good or as bad, as the media and general public believe just after a couple of won/lost games. But sometimes they are. One can't make money by going blindly against the consensus. The key is to spot the teams, that actually are very good or bad.
Chicago Bears have lost all their games, but their metrics are not that bad, and they have a couple of players with improvement potential. The betting market has rejected the Bears completely. It is hard to bet them, but if one has the guts, there might be value available on Bears soon.
After the first two games of the season, I believed, that New York Giants might have been slightly unlucky. However, the match against Seattle Seahawks opened my eyes. Giants offensive line was nonexistent. I do not bet that kind of teams even with a load of handicap points.
Arizona and Houston were expected to be the two worst teams of the NFL, but both have started OK. Houston might have even some improvement potential.
Carolina might remain winless for a while. They made bad pre-season trades, and now they pay for that. Opponents exploit the weaknesses mercilessly.
I thought the market rejected Green Bay too cruelly after Rodgers left, but after seeing their statistics and metrics, the team might be even worse than I figured out. NY Jets was expected to improve, but with the lineup they are playing at the moment, they are not a playoffs contender. But on other hand, now the betting market has returned to the normal state - not respecting Jets a lot.
